Members of the County Council
are made up of a total of seven representatives, who consist of three representatives selected from Pyeongchang Electoral District Ga (Pyeongchang, Mitan, Bangrim, Daehwa), three representatives selected from Pyeongchang Electoral District Na (Bongpyeong, Yongpyeong, Jinbu, Daegwanryeong), and one proportional representative.
Chairperson and Vice-chairperson
- The county council has one chairperson and one vice-chairperson who are selected among council members to serve for the term of two years.
- The chairperson represents the council, keeps meetings in order, and oversees administrative work of the council. The vice-chairperson shall perform the duties of the chairperson when the chairperson is unavailable.
- The current chairperson is Representative Jang Mun-hyeok (Electoral District Na), and the current vice-chairperson is Representative Lee Ju-ung (Electoral District Ga), whose term is until June 30, 2020.
